CLIENT & CONTEXT

What was the brief?

DvePlanini brings together routes, places and sports communities. The brief was a complete web platform where visitors can explore trip options through a map and the details of a selected route.

Different information for different decisions

A route, a place of interest and a sports club are different kinds of information. The shared map needs to connect them, while filters let visitors decide what they want to explore.

APPROACH & DELIVERY

Turning the information structure into a working map

  1. 01

    Define the content types

We clarified the goals and visitor needs with the owners. Navigation was planned around routes, places of interest, sports clubs and tracks, with a distinct role for each category.

  2. 02

    Build a filterable map

We integrated an interactive map with filters for route type, club, place and track. Colour coding helps distinguish routes alongside filters and written descriptions.

  3. 03

Connect the map to useful details

Routes were given photos, descriptions and GPS tracks that visitors can view or download. Responsive design makes the information accessible on mobile devices as well.

  4. 04

    Develop the platform after launch

The documented follow-up work includes new routes and improvements to map presentation and navigation filters based on visitor feedback.

Deliverables

  • Information architecture for routes, places and clubs
  • An interactive map and content filters
  • Photos, descriptions and GPS tracks
  • Responsive layouts and subsequent navigation improvements

HOW THE INFORMATION CONNECTS

The map starts the exploration

  1. 01

    Choose an interest

A walking or cycling route, a place or a club.

  2. 02

    Explore the map

Use filters and distinguish individual routes.

  3. 03

    Read the details

Review the route description and photos.

  4. 04

    Access the GPS track

View or download the track for the next step.

RESULT & PRACTICAL VALUE

A practical information tool

The platform connects spatial orientation with detailed route information. Visitors can move from the overall map to a description, photos and a GPS track instead of searching for those materials across unrelated sources.

THE NEXT STEP

Plenty of information, but the right item is hard to find?

Show us your content types and what visitors need to discover. We will discuss the structure, filters and whether a map or another interactive tool could make choosing easier.
